SIX SIGMA

The companies most admired world many implementing Six Sigma, such as General Electric, Motorola, Honeywell and others. Six Sigma is a goal that was almost perfect in meeting customer requirements. Six Sigma refers to the operating performance targets are measured statistically with only 3.4 errors per million activities. Six Sigma is also a cultural change effort to position the company on customer satisfaction, profitability and competitiveness of the larger. Six Sigma is a system of comprehensive and flexible to achieve, maintain and maximize business success, which is uniquely controlled by a strong understanding of customer needs, disciplined use of data, facts and statistical analysis and careful attention to managing, improving and reinvest the business processes .

Critical elements of the leadership consists of six themes. The first theme, the focus really to customers. Six Sigma in customer priority measures the performance of Six Sigma begins with the customer. Six Sigma improvement is determined by its impact on customer satisfaction and value.

The second theme, that management is driven by data and facts. Six Sigma discipline begins by clarifying what measures are a key measure of business performance, and then apply the data and analysis so as to build understanding of the key variables and optimal results.

The third theme, the focus on processes, management and improvement. In Six Sigma, the process is where the action begins. Ranging from product design, performance measurement, improved efficiency and customer satisfaction or even running a business. Six Sigma positions the process as a key vehicle and success. Mastery is a process of competitive advantage and deliver value to customers.

The fourth theme, proactive management. Six Sigma includes a number of tools and practices that replace reactive habits with a dynamic management style, responsive and proactive.

The fifth theme, collaboration without boundaries. Collaboration without borders demands a real understanding of the needs of end users and to the flow of work throughout a process or supply chain, using knowledge of customers and process all of the benefits that ultimately create an environment and management structure that supports the actual work teams.

The sixth theme, the urge to perfect and tolerance for failure. All the companies that make Six Sigma constantly encouraged to be more perfect than ever. Nevertheless tolerance of failure, too afraid of the consequences of mistakes will not ever tried the result of stagnation, decay and death over by the changes.
